Yuwa Ki Aawaz Sanstha, in collaboration with Voice of Youth National Organisation, successfully organized an Education Awareness Campaign in Tura, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya, on March 7, 2025. This initiative was part of our Skill Development & Rural Employment Mission 2025 aimed at empowering underprivileged children through education and awareness about their fundamental rights. About the Campaign The Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009, is a landmark legislation in India that ensures free and compulsory education for children between the ages of 6 to 14 years, making it a fundamental right under Article 21A of the Indian Constitution. Our campaign focused on raising awareness about this act and ensuring that children from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to education. Key Highlights of the Campaign Free & Compulsory Education: Every child aged 6 to 14 years has the right to free education in a neighborhood school. No Discrimination: No child can be denied admission based on caste, religion, gender, or economic background. Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): Private schools are mandated to reserve 25% of their seats for children from weaker sections and disadvantaged groups. Community Engagement: Local community leaders, educators, and students participated in discussions to understand the importance of education in shaping a better future. Awareness Drive: Volunteers conducted interactive sessions, distributed educational materials, and encouraged parents to enroll their children in schools. Impact of the Campaign Over 200 children and parents participated in the awareness sessions. Several families pledged to enroll their children in school and ensure their regular attendance. Collaboration with local authorities to facilitate better access to education for marginalized communities. Our Commitment to Education Yuwa Ki Aawaz Sanstha remains committed to advocating for equal educational opportunities for all children. We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and ensuring a brighter future for the next generation.
